The Commission Implementing regulation (EU) 2016/1448 of 1 September 2016 amending the Proceedings Regulation No 874/2009, has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union L 236/1 of 2 September 2016 and will enter into force on 22 September.

The new Proceedings Regulation contains important changes. Among others, it establishes clear rules on the taking over of technical reports from non-EU countries and the conditions upon which the Office may request an authority of a third country to conduct the technical examination of a candidate variety.
