The CPVO is organized internally into three units – i.e. Technical, Administration & IT. There is also a Legal, Procurement & Logistics service reporting to the Vice-President. Finally, there is a service responsible for the quality auditing of examination offices (QAS). The QAS service is under the administrative responsibility of the President while being independent with regard to its audit operations.

Conflicts of interest

In accordance with Article 16(3-4) of the EU Staff Regulations, the Office shall report on its duty to prohibit senior officials, during the 12 months after leaving the service, from engaging in lobbying or advocacy vis-à-vis staff of their former institution for their business, clients or employers on matters for which they were responsible during the last three years in the service. To this end, the Office publishes the conclusion of its assessment of applications by senior managers to engage in new occupational activities.
