New regulation 874/2009

On 17 September 2009, the European Commission adopted a recast of the proceedings regulation (EC) n° 1239/95 establishing implementing rules for the application of Council Regulation (EC) No 2100/94 as regards proceedings before the Community Plant Variety Office.

The new Regulation, COMMISSION REGULATION (EC) No 874/2009 of 17 September 2009, has been published in the Official Journal of the EC L251 of 24 September 2009 page 3 and is available from the CPVO web site under Community Plant Variety Rights / legislation in

Communication note in respect of fees payable to the CPVO and e-Services

Two important amendments of Commission regulations will come into force as from the 1st January 2009
Last June 2008 the European Commission amended Regulation (EC) No 1238/95 as regards the level of the annual fee and the fees relating to technical examinations payable to the Community Plant Variety Office and the manner of payment. The level of the annual fee and the fees relating to technical examinations payable to the Community Plant Variety Office will be increased as from the 1st January 2009. The annual fee will be restored to 300€, the level applicable in 2004 and
