The Administrative Council of the Office adopted on 24 th March 2004 new guidelines and explanatory notes on the suitability of variety denominations. The major modifications in comparison to the previous version concern:

Postponement of testing announcement

Announcement No 02/2001 of the Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO) in respect of the payment of fees and surcharges

The CPVO does not accept cheque or cash payments.

All fees and surcharges owed to the CPVO must be paid by transfers of funds to a bank account held by the CPVO or to a charge account held with the CPVO.

of colour photographs for certain applications

The Community Plant Variety Office would like to inform applicants that as from 1 May 1998, it will be an obligation at the time of application to provide colour photographs in duplicate in accompaniment to the technical questionnaire for varieties of all fruit and ornamental species.
