    The CPVO participates in the expansion of UPOV PRISMA PBR application tool

    Since its launch, it has been possible to file applications to the Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO) using the UPOV PRISMA tool for 5 pilot species. Following a successful collaboration between the CPVO and UPOV, this system has now been extensively developed and from now on, breeders can file an application for EU plant variety rights to the CPVO through the UPOV PRISMA tool for almost all species in the vegetable, ornamental and fruit sectors.

    This new possibility will significantly benefit breeders applying for plant variety protection

    Upcoming training of Chinese experts at the CPVO

    IP Key China together with the Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO), the Ministry of Agriculture of China (MOA) and the State Forestry Administration of China (SFA) is organising a training to four Chinese experts from the Development Center of Science and Technology, the Office of Protection of New Varieties of Plants and the Research Institute of Forestry from 25 to 29 of June.

    The training will take place in two parts; three and a half days at CPVO Headquarters in Angers, France, including a visit to GEVES, one of the examination offices carrying out technical work on behalf
