Francesco Mattina, President of the Community Plant Variety Office, will attend a seminar at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa.

The title of the seminar will be: "The role of plant breeding to strengthen the farmers’ toolbox and support more resilient and sustainable food systems in Europe Case study - The Community Plant Variety Rights system as an incentive for plant innovation".

Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies is a public university institute - with special autonomy - working in the field of applied sciences: Economics and Management, Law, Political Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Plant Biotechnology, Medicine, and Industrial and Information Engineering.The School promotes the internationalization of didactics and research with innovative paths in the fields of university education, scientific research and advanced training.

This is a great opportunity for both the CPVO and the San't Anna School of Advanced Studies to share knowledge and discuss about the importance of plant breeding.

The seminar will take place on 21 February 2023, 13:45 -15:45.
